Cover-More “NRL STAFF PROMOTION” Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the Cover-More “NRL STAFF PROMOTION” Competition(“Competition”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
  3. The Promoter is Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd ABN 95 003 114 145 OF Zurich Tower, Level 12, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. (“Promoter”). 
  4. The Competition commences at [12:00am] (AEST) on [12 September 2025] and closes at [11:59pm] (AEST) on [4 October 2025] (“Competition Period”).
  5. The total value of the Prize for the Competition is $1,200 AUD.
  6. This Competition is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on the Judging Criteria.


How to enter 

  1. Entry into the Competition is only open to Cover-More Travel Insurance Staff in Australia and New Zealand (“Eligible Entrants”).

Judging Criteria and Prize Determination

  1. Entries will be judged on accuracy and the most interesting response by:
    1. selecting the winning player (the winning player and winning moment will be determined by a Rugby League expert which will be named at the end of the competition period); and
    2. having both the most accurate answer together with the most interesting response in the twenty-five (25) words or less section (judged by a representative at Cover-More Travel Insurance)
  2. There is one (1) winner for this competition. The total prize is up to a value of $1,200 AUD.
  3. The prize includes:  
    1. Four (4) category 1 tickets to a Men’s State of Origin 2026 game in Brisbane or Sydney (valued at $300RRP each)
  4. All costs associated with travel to and from the event, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, and incidental expenses, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and are not included as part of the prize. Travel and related expenses incurred in connection with the prize or event are considered personal costs and must not be charged to any company account, credit card, or submitted as a business expense for reimbursement.
  5. The total Prize value is correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and includes any applicable GST.
  6. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the Prize. If the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable regulation.


Notification and Claim Period

  1. The winner will be chosen on [Tuesday 14 October 2025] between [09:00am] and [05:00pm] (AEST) (“Prize Determination”) and will be contacted by email and phone within 24 hours of the prize determination (“Notification”).
  2. Redeeming the prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions. The Winner must have provided the Promoter with a valid email address and phone number at Entry. 
  3. If the winner’s nominated companions for the prize is under 18 years of age, the winner must accompany the nominated companions during the entire duration of the prize. 
  4. If the Prize has not been accepted within two (2) weeks from the date of notification (the “Prize Claim Period”), after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date, the relevant entry will be discarded and the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the Entrant with the next best Entry (“Unclaimed Prize Winner”), as determined by the judges. The unclaimed prize will be notified within 24 hours and will need to claim prize within two (2) weeks of being notified.
  5. Prizes and all elements of Prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. 
  6. Where the Promoter, acting reasonably, is of the view that an entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions, it reserves the right to discard their Competition entry. 
  7. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entrants (including an Eligible Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and may disqualify any Eligible Entrant who is not eligible to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions or who fails to verify the validity of their entry.

  1. Eligible Entrants must not, in relation to this Competition: tamper with the entry process, as follows; 
    1. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;

  1. The Promoter is not liable for entries, Prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.

  3. The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final. 
  4.   5. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from Eligible Entrants winning a Prize. Eligible Entrants should seek independent tax and financial advice. If for GST purposes this Competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, Eligible Entrants must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.

The Rugby League Las Vegas Fan Fest

General

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the Cover-More Sydney WorldPride 2023 Donation Give Away . Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by each Eligible Entrant.
  2. Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
  3. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this prize draw, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
  4. The promoter is Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd (ABN 95 003 114 145) of Zurich Tower, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 Australia (Promotor or Cover-More).

Eligibility

  1. Subject to clause 7, 8, 9 and 10, entry is open to all who are over the age of 18 years, as of the date of entry, and who have fulfilled the requirements set out below (“Eligible Entrants”).

How to Enter

  1. In order to be entered into the Competition, the Eligible Entrant must submit these details via the landing page form and answer fifty (50) words or less question.
  2. Eligible Entrants must provide, on request, all contact details, including a valid email address, to be eligible for the chance to win. Eligible Entrants may only enter in their own full name and email address.

Open, Close, and Publish dates

  1. The Competition commences on 19/02/2023 at 00:00 AEDT and closes on 05/03/2023 at 23:59 AEDT (“Incentive Period”).
  2. Entries must be received by the Promoter prior to the end of the Incentive Period.
  3. The prize (or in the case of prize confirmations) will be paid to the winners selected Eligible Charity within thirty (30) days of the judging completion.

    Judging and winner

  4. This Competition is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on the Judging Criteria for originality and creativity.
  5. Judging will take place between 09:00 and 17:00 AEDT on or before 10/03/2023 at Zurich Tower, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
  6. The Eligible Entrant who submits the best Entry in accordance with the Judging Criteria (as determined by the judges) will win the Prize (Winner). The judges’ decision is final, and the Promoter will not engage in correspondence regarding the result.
  7. The winner will be notified by email within seven (7) business days of the end of the judging period. The winner of the Competition may be published on the Website within 30 days of announcement.
  8. The Winner must claim the Prize within the Claim Period. The Claim period is within five (5) days from the date of notification. The Promoter will not be liable in any way for the acts or omission of a third-party supplier responsible for providing the Prize, including, but not limited to other matters related to the chosen Eligible Charity by the winning individual.
  9. If the Winner is unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions and/or does not claim the Prize within the Claim Period, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the Eligible Entrant with the next best Entry as determined by the judges.

    Prize

  10. The total prize value is at up to $5,000.00AUD.
  11. The prize on offer is:

  1. The winner must claim the prize by replying to the winner announcement email and provide all necessary details to facilitate the donation to their chosen Eligible Charity. The charitable organisation is subject to information provided being verified before a donation can be awarded. The Eligible Charities listed within the entry form are final and the Promoter will not engage in correspondence regarding alternative charity organisations. If for any reason, the Eligible Charity is unclear on how it uses donations received, the promoter can request further financial reports and/or choose an alternative Eligible Charity at its sole discretion.

  12. Judging will take place at the Prize Determination. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
  13. The Entrant who submits the best Entry in accordance with the Judging Criteria (as determined by the judges) will win the Prize(s) (Winner). The judges’ decision is final, and the Promoter will not engage in correspondence regarding the result.

  15. The Winner must claim the Prize within the Claim Period.   12. Judging will take place at the Prize Determination. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
  13. The Entrant who submits the best Entry in accordance with the Judging Criteria (as determined by the judges) will win the Prize(s) (Winner). The judges’ decision is final, and the Promoter will not engage in correspondence regarding the result.

  15. The Winner must claim the Prize within the Claim Period. The Promoter will not be liable in any way for the acts or omission of a third-party supplier responsible for providing the Prize, including, but not limited to flight delays, accommodation issues or any other matter related to the Sydney WorldPride 2023 event.
  16. If the Winner is unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions and/or does not claim the Prize within the Claim Period, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the Entrant with the next best Entry as determined by the judges.
  17. The winner will be notified by email within three business days of the end of the Incentive Period.

    The winner’s use of the prize is subject to:
    (a)  The Prize conditions; and
    (b) additional terms and conditions imposed by the supplier(s) of the Prize (if any), with which the Winner must comply.

  21. The Prize is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The Prize must be taken as a whole and as stated in these Terms and Conditions. No alternative will be provided and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as such.
  22. If the winner resides in Sydney, the Prize will not include flights and the winner is not eligible to be reimbursed in any other way, including, but not limited to in cash or other goods or services.

  23. Any Entrant found to have used a third party (including online Competition entry site) to enter on their behalf will have all entries invalidated and any claim they have to any prize will be invalidated. If such an Entrant is awarded the Prize and then found to have breached this clause, the Entrant must immediately return the Prize awarded. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any Entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the Entrant has breached this clause. An Entrant must provide any requested documentation to the Promoter upon request. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant who provides false information or who seeks to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Competition.
  24. Any Entrant found to be entering incorrect contact details, including incorrect email contact details, will have all entries invalidated and any claim to any prize will be invalidated. If such an Entrant is awarded the Prize and then found to have breached this clause, the Entrant must immediately return the Prize awarded. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any Entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the Entrant has breached this clause. An Entrant must provide any requested documentation to the Promoter upon request. In the event of a dispute concerning who properly entered to participate in the Competition, the entry will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder which is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner may be requested to provide the Promoter with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address. If a dispute cannot be resolved to the Promoter’s satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible.
  25. If the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to the applicable legislation. Prize is subject to flight availability at the time of booking. The winner is solely liable for their own transport cost to the airport from their place of residence and from the airport back to their place of residence. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and Prize supplier’s requirements. The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the Prize as stated.
  26. The Promoter highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested for ease of correspondence and potential Prize delivery. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the Prize to the addresses provided by Competition Entrants. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the Prize returned to the Promoter due to non-delivery at the provided address will be re-sent to the Prize winner.
  27. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to sign a winner’s deed of release (and indemnification) or any other relevant forms or agreements that the Promoter deems necessary, to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill) in order to claim the Prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
  28. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct a re-draw in the event that an Entrant, claiming to be a winner, is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions or has breached these Terms and Conditions.
  29. Subject to the applicable legislation, the Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promotor accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. The Prize is subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  30. All amounts, including Prize amounts quoted in these Terms and Conditions are in Australian dollars (AUD) and exclusive of GST.

    Copyright, Statutory guarantees, Waiver and liability
  31. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received.
  32. The Entrants represent and warrant that by entering the Competition that the submission is the Entrants original work, and the Entrant owns all rights, including, but not limited to copyright and intellectual property in the submission, and no part of the submission has been plagiarised, or infringes a third party right.
  33. In participating in the Competition, the winner/s agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner/s agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, and the winner/s will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
  34. The Promoter (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this Competition if an event beyond the control of the Promoter corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has or who attempts to tamper with the entry process or any other aspect of this Competition. In particular, computer-generated entries and the use “scripting” is not permitted and will not be accepted.
  35. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.
  36. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under any applicable laws, including (but not limited to) the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (‘Non-Excludable Guarantees’).
  37. By entering in the competition, each Entrant agrees that New South Wales law, Australia without regard to conflicts of laws principles will apply to all matters relating to this competition. In the case of a dispute, the Entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where, by law, such dispute must be brought in the jurisdiction in which the Entrant is domiciled, or where the relevant law contains mandatory provisions that override such exclusive jurisdiction.
  38. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, affiliates, parents, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence) and Entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter for any excluded liabilities as set forth herein, for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Eligible Entrant; (f) use of a prize. The Promoter (including its’ officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits or opportunity), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Competition including taking or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), including the Non-Excludable Guarantees; and (g) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Competition. Any change in value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
